a thai violinoid

adriano, a dear friend living in thailand, sent me a sculpture/fetish/musical instrument. so i reinvented it to play tempered notes in a controlled manner. i mounted a new goatskin, created a headstock for the three tuning pegs, and a bridge. thanks to a violin-style piezo pickup, it can be played electric. the sound is rich and warm, very detailed. the fingerboard, being irregular, is a bit unpredictable; i get used to it, and that's the main characteristic of this casual and unique instrument.
